Texas Rolls

Ingredients

ROLLS:

1 Packet dry active yeast ( 2 1/4 teaspoons)

¼ Cup Warm water

½ Cup Milk

½ Cup Buttermilk

¼ Cup Granulated sugar

1 Egg

Pinch of salt

3 ½ Cups All-purpose flour

2 Tablespoons Softened unsalted butter

HONEY CINNAMON BUTTER:

4 Tablespoons Butter, softened and unsalted

½ Teaspoon Cinnamon

2 Teaspoons Honey

1 Tablespoon Confectioners sugar

Instructions

  1. Activate yeast in warm water.
  2. Warm milk and buttermilk; mix in butter.
  3. Combine milk mixture, yeast, sugar, salt, and flour to form dough.
  4. Add egg, then gradually add remaining flour.
  5. Let dough rise, roll out, and shape into rolls.
  6. Let shaped rolls rise.
  7. Bake at 400°F for 12-15 minutes.
  8. Mix ingredients for honey cinnamon butter.

Notes

Substitute instant yeast if needed.

Store leftovers in an airtight container.

Rolls can be frozen for later use.
